Black Attitude Festival 2026

A platform and festival for networking, art and political dialogue

Since 2023, the Black Attitude Festival has been bringing the Black community together. It grew out of the grief following the death of Mouhamed Lamine Dramé, who was shot and killed by police in Dortmund in 2022. We remember him and all that his death means to so many people. We mourn together by celebrating the life of the Black community. Through music, culture, food and socialising, we aim to create a space where we can come together, support one another and celebrate our diversity.

You can look forward to an evening programme of live music, food from the African diaspora, a small bazaar organised by the community for the community, information stands run by organisations from the diaspora, and a party for everyone.

The day kicks off in the afternoon with two workshops. From 3 pm to 5 pm, you can take part in either a sewing workshop or a hair care workshop. Places are limited. The registration link will follow shortly.

From 5 pm, there’ll be a communal buffet before the evening programme begins at 7 pm. Music, conversation, community and a party for everyone will keep you entertained.

Come along, bring your friends, and let’s create a space together for Black culture, solidarity and a love of life.

We look forward to seeing you there!

The detailed programme will be published shortly.
