Accessibility
Here you will find some general information:
The theatre is part of the Depot Cultural Centre, a former tram depot dating from 1915–16. The main entrance on Immermannstraße has an automatic door, making it easier for wheelchair users or people using walking aids to enter the building. The large central hall and the theatre auditorium (on the left-hand side) are accessible at ground level. A wheelchair-accessible toilet can be reached via a corridor on the right-hand side of the central hall. The working spaces Studio 1, Studio 2 and "A29" are also accessible at ground level.
At our own events in the auditorium, we can offer wheelchair spaces (usually between two and eight, depending on the performance or event). In addition, there is one (free) space for a companion or carer; see also https://theaterimdepot.de/en/tickets .
We do not currently have our own hearing amplification or induction loop system. We hope to be able to make this investment in the future.
In the event descriptions on the website, we specify whether productions are explicitly accessible to people who are hard of hearing or deaf, or visually impaired or blind. These descriptions also specify which languages are used, whether translations or surtitles are available, and whether there are any sensitive content or strong sensory stimuli.
