DEIN ERNST? – IS' NICH' WAHR
(ARE YOU SERIOUS? – YOU'RE JOKING) Theater Normal Gibt´s Schon
An evening in finest polite society, with cucumber sandwiches or buttered bread and whatever goes on top, underneath or in between – freely adapted from Oscar Wilde.
This year, the new play by Theater Normal Gibt´s Schon takes aim at so-called “polite society” – in a way that’s affectionate, cheeky and definitely not entirely serious.
It’s all about love. And society. So, basically, everything that’s complicated.
Who actually loves whom here? And why? And is that even a good idea? What does love do to us – and what do we do to it in return? And let’s be honest: Why, in our oh-so-modern world, are there still people who believe they have the right to judge others? Or, to freely quote Chaplin: For evil deeds, you need power – for everything else, love is enough.
Join us on an entertaining journey of discovery – filled with music, humour and charm, and one or the other ‘aha moment’. Promised: You won’t go home any less wise. Perhaps just a little more in love with life.
