Diasporic Resonances – Workshop with movement and sound

In the interdisciplinary research and performance project »Diasporic Resonances«, Nigerian choreographer, dancer and musician Israel Akpan Sunday, together with the two artists Isabel Wamig and Wenta Ghebrehiwet, explore the effects of coups and political upheavals on the bodies of the African diaspora. 

On 5 December 2024, the artists invite you to a workshop that offers space for a creative exploration of the theme of resistance through dance and music. Participants are invited to engage with this theme through improvisation – no previous dance experience is required.
