What do we have to say goodbye to in the face of the climate crisis? What conditions and practices enable us to allow change? What role does the body play in this? With GOODBYE / FAREWELL, Antje Velsinger / new trouble go in search of how transformation becomes possible. Choreographic strategies of saying goodbye are interwoven with stories of loss and rituals that question people's place in the world. The dancers wrestle with their archetypes of repression and repeatedly try their hand at discarding habitual procedures. The inner turmoil between wanting to hold on and having to let go becomes the tangible driving force behind their journey. Time and again, spaces open up in which grief can be allowed and shared. The audience is invited to join the performers in confronting the unsettling questions and to inscribe themselves in this choreographic farewell letter.
