Whole of the Depot Cultural Centre at the 2026 Dortmund Port Walk
At the Open House, the whole of the Depot cultural centre will be buzzing with activity. Come along and have a rummage through the anthill. Workshops, guided tours, open studios and the odd extra treat are all being prepared for you. The Shiva-Shivas are bringing their record collection and will provide the perfect soundtrack.
Meet and interact with, amongst others, the walking acts by Sticky Fragments: shimmering bodies, glitching bugs and gentle chimeras move between the port area and the Depot cultural venue. Playfully, they engage with the architecture, the urban environment and the passers-by. They hum little tunes and invite you to wander along with them and join in the storytelling.
Guided by physical theatre artist Milena Cestao Kolbowski, a room at the Depot is transformed into a walk-in insect playground, complete with instructions, masks, a sound station and theatrical interventions.
Sticky Fragments and the Physical Theatre Network are thus offering a low-threshold taster of the Physical FETZ festival the following weekend – and their new production at the Theater im Depot, DRONETALE (18 & 19 September).
We’re also taking part in the guided tours, so you can take a look ‘behind the scenes’.
