The final day of the festival invites you to the queerst sleepover you’ve ever experienced. Make yourself comfortable at the intimate, laid-back performance queering of age and listen to autofictional stories by feige glanz & fervor – about queerphobia, grappling with one’s family of origin, and lustful desire set between West Germany and southern Brazil. For a brief moment, the performers become your best friends, and their vulnerability invites you to be kind to yourself too.
Through conversation, drama and literary fragments, different realities of life, languages and perspectives intertwine. It is an evening that dares to get close: honest, vulnerable and sometimes uncomfortable. This production stands out particularly in times of increasing anti-queer violence: it opens up a space for what often remains invisible – and for what needs to be said.
Queering of age is aimed at everyone who is in the midst of puberty or wants to look back on it with a touch of melancholy – or is ready to embark on a new one. And to anyone who fancies reclaiming and re-experiencing the heteronormative pop-cultural narratives of the 2000s from a queer perspective. And if you think this has nothing to do with you: just pop along. You might be surprised at just how much you belong.
