The gateway to the theatre

The project space A29 is a meeting space for people from the neighborhood of the theater in Dortmund's Nordstadt. The room was designed from the inside by the four students Johanna Buderath, Charlotte Kuke, Carlotta Markötter and Wenxu Wang (Scenography, Dortmund University of Applied Sciences) in the form of an S-Bahn. Through its roller shutter, it formulates an architecturally inviting gesture by opening completely to the outside space. For the Theater im Depot, the room serves as a platform for various small program formats. The depot garage thus becomes a lively, regularly used space, a gateway into the theatre, from which other areas of the theatre can be discovered and conquered.

START Sept 1st 2022! Every Thursday, from 6 pm: Shaolin Soul Kitchen
In the weekly rhythm Winett and Eymen prepare curries, soups and salads with and for the visitors in the "Shaolin Soul Kitchen" in the A29. Here runs the classic Shaolin soul and funk of the 60s and 70s to oriental sounds and West African blues.
