gut:gehen
spielend stark!

Since the 2024/25 school year, the Theater im Depot has been taking part in the Walter Blüchert Foundation’s ‘gut:gehen’ children’s participatory programme, which aims to foster greater self-confidence, a zest for life and a sense of community.

The programme helps primary school children in Years 2 to 4 to build their self-confidence and zest for life. Through playful group exercises focusing on body awareness, movement and expression, they get to know themselves and others better and learn how to deal with their feelings constructively. These shared experiences foster a sense of togetherness and help them face psychosocial challenges with greater resilience.

Once a week, the primary school children meet in a fixed small group with two specialist theatre or dance educators. The 90-minute session takes place 12 times per school term. Participation is open to all children and is free of charge.

gut:gehen received a positive evaluation from the Research Institute for Educational and Social Economics (FiBS) in 2023. It is regarded as an important component of a school’s overall educational provision.
