Die Katze Eleonore

by Caren Jeß | Staging: S. Rudat

How radical must we be to be ourselves? Estate agent Eleonore discovers that she is actually a cat. She has a fur catsuit made to measure and embarks on a transformation. Her senses expand – except for her sense of community. Eleonore’s consistently pursued, individual way of life becomes a litmus test for the norms of civil society.

The performance is accessible to people who are hard of hearing or deaf. Subtitles and audio support are provided. Recommended for ages 16 and over.

Nominated for the 2026 Cologne Theatre Prize

Part of the

physical FETZ

The festival organised by the Physical Theatre Network NRW (PTN) is coming to Dortmund. Alongside other venues in the region, the Theater im Depot serves as a performance and meeting place for the physical theatre scene in the Ruhr area during this edition. Since 2018, Physical FETZ has been a pioneering platform for the steadily rising quality of this theatre form.

The focus of this year’s edition is on breaking down barriers. Alongside productions dedicated to this theme, workshops will be offered where artists and interested members of the public can explore inclusive storytelling techniques.
