Beyond Gravity
Festival for Digital Arts, Dance and Performance (November 17–26, 2023)
Opening on Friday, November 17, at 7:30 pm in the Theater im Depot
"Beyond Gravity" – performances that transcend the rules of earthly gravity: The festival, newly founded by Theater im Depot, will take place for the first time in November 2023, and combines dance and performance with the digital arts.
It is created in cooperation with Akademie für Theater und Digitalität, and takes place at both Theater im Depot and Akademie für Theater und Digitalität.

Performances and installations will be presented over two weekends, from November 17 to 26. The themes of the festival will also be reflected in a discursive program called "Beyond Gravity – Reflexionen", on November 25 and 26, as part of the festival.
The first edition in 2023 will focus on augmented reality, virtual reality and immersive works that are dedicated to the possibilities of digital and hybrid spaces as well as digital tools for developing new types of performance situations. One thematic focus will be on artistic positions dedicated to aspects of post-humanism and the merging of organic and artificial life.
